Book Week Scotland – get involved
This year’s Book Week Scotland takes place from Monday 18 November to Sunday 24 November and with events across the country, people of all ages can get involved.
Celebrating the world of literature, Book Week Scotland brings together people who share and enjoy reading books. Whether you are a bookworm who loves to get lost in a good novel; someone who picks up the odd book now and again; or you and your family enjoy reading at bedtime, Book Week Scotland allows you to get involved no matter how much you read.
Events will take place at a huge variety of venues, from community centres and workplaces to libraries and pop-up venues. It couldn’t be easier to get involved, just pop along to a venue near you.
Nurseries, primary and secondary schools across the country will be getting involved, organising specific events aimed at children and encouraging them to read, learn and have fun throughout the week. There will be useful information available to continue the reading at home with your children at some events too.
The aim of the week-long celebration is to encourage people to read not just during this one week, but all year long.
