A relatively new concept originating in 2005, Cyber Monday was officially launched by shop.org, a division of the National Retail Federation with the aim of capitalising on the tradition that saw online sales spike the Monday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday. With a hefty marketing campaign, the NRF hoped to improve sales for smaller online businesses- with huge success and in increase in online sales by 26.6%.
So if you didn’t get chance to hit the shops on Black Friday…Decmber 2nd is your chance to bag those bargains. And you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home. How did we cope before the internet!?
