Sadly during July, 43 babies will develop an early-onset GBS infection. Thanks to your support, awareness of group B Strep is at an all-time high in the UK, but there’s still more to be done.
July’s Group B Strep Awareness Month is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved. This year, we particularly want to raise awareness of the new group B Strep information leaflet and make sure one gets to every single pregnant woman in the UK.

Whether you want to find out more for yourself or you’re keen to raise awareness in your community or workplace, our GBS Awareness Pack covers all the facts about group B Strep in pregnancy and babies. You can order a set of our free group B Strep awareness posters and leaflets and ask if you can put them up in your local GP surgery/ workplace/ shop/ in your community to help raise awareness of group B Strep and of our work.

Hold a Big GBSS Bake Sale
We all love a slice of cake, especially when it’s raising money for charity. Dig out your favourite baking recipes, invite some friends and family over or create a buzz at work and get baking.
The money you raise will be the perfect icing on the cake ask for donations for tasty treats, get competitive with a bake off or why not rustle up a raffle?

The Strep B Stomp is a fun walk or run (or even a swim or cycle) to raise money to stop life-threatening group B Strep infection in babies and to raise awareness about group B Strep amongst pregnant women and families. Find a venue near you.

It is costing us ¬£35,000 to print 750,000 leaflets enough for every pregnant woman in the UK. A donation of just ¬£10 could give 200 mums the information they need to protect their unborn babies. Help us reach more women this Group B Strep Awareness Month #GBSAM19.
