National Fish & Chip Day 2019 – A Salute to an Iconic British Dish
National Fish & Chip Day celebrates all that is good about one of the nation’s favourite dishes. Held on the first Friday of June each year, National Fish & Chip day 2019 falls on 7th June. The day brings together all the major players who make this national dish such a rewarding treat, from the pubs, restaurants and retailers through to the farmers and fishermen who bring you all the quality produce.
National Fish & Chip day is one of the largest awareness days. Organised by the trade group the National Edible Oil Distributors Association (NEODA), participating outlets can obtain the tools and kit they need to make the day a success. With advice on using traditional and social media as well as images and logos to print off for display, NEODA can equip its partners with all the requirements to help raise awareness on the day of this most iconic of British dishes.
Celebrating the sustainable and natural produce delivered by food producers across the UK, outlets will have the chance to run promotions and to decorate their stores and outlets to give the best opportunity to increase public awareness of the day and bring in more customers.
The fish and chip shop remains a much loved feature of British culture, and combined with all the pubs and restaurants serving fish and chips in its many forms, National Fish & Chip day is a chance to acknowledge this iconic dish and all those who make it happen.
