For the 15th Consecutive Year, Pucker Up for National Kissing Day 2019
A day that celebrates kissing, how cool is that? Surprisingly, this smooch worthy day has been taking place since 2006. The purpose of the day is to celebrate the part that kissing plays in society. And let’s face it, we all love a peck on the cheek, but a long passionate tongue-tickler is even better. Events are held all over the world, but there’s plenty going on for those of you who want to take part in the UK.
Who Thought a Special Kissing Day Was a Good Idea?
It’s difficult to say who actually thought of the idea, but the reason it was started is a simple one. The first time the celebrations took place was in 2006. Every July 6th since then it has been held to celebrate lovers kissing and the place that kissing holds in society. This year, use this day to remind your partner how much they mean to you.
Some Examples of the Events Taking Place
You’ll find events being held all over the country, as well as much further afield. You don’t have to be in a relationship to take part either. Test drive your potential dates kissing skills at a kiss-in. Why not learn all there is to know about kissing with some classes? There are also going to be plenty of celebrities taking part in the day, as well as media coverage of the events.
How You Can Celebrate Kissing Day
Start the day off by waking your partner and giving them a kiss good morning. Give your friends a quick peck on the cheek when you greet them. Kissing can take a variety of forms, not all of which have to be romantic.
