SUMMARY:Hepatitis Testing Day in the USA 2026
DESCRIPTION:Hepatitis Testing Day is a national observance aimed at raising awareness about hepatitis\, promoting testing and early diagnosis\, and encouraging those at risk to get tested for the disease. This day highlights the importance of knowing one’s hepatitis status to prevent the spread of the virus and to ensure timely access to treatment and care. It’s an opportunity to educate the public about hepatitis\, its transmission\, and the benefits of early detection. \nWhat is Hepatitis Testing Day?\nHepatitis Testing Day is an annual event that encourages people\, particularly those at risk\, to get tested for hepatitis. Hepatitis is a group of viral infections that affect the liver\, with hepatitis B and C being the most common forms in the United States. Many people with hepatitis do not know they are infected because the disease often shows no symptoms until it causes severe liver damage. Testing is crucial for early diagnosis\, which can lead to effective treatment and a reduction in the risk of serious complications\, such as liver cancer or cirrhosis. \nWhen is Hepatitis Testing Day?\nHepatitis Testing Day is observed every year on May 19th. The date is set during Hepatitis Awareness Month in the United States\, reinforcing the importance of testing and awareness throughout the month and beyond. \nHow to Get Involved\nThere are several ways to participate in Hepatitis Testing Day: \n\nGet Tested: If you are at risk for hepatitis\, schedule a test with your healthcare provider. Testing is the only way to know for sure if you have hepatitis\, and it’s a critical step in protecting your health and the health of others.\nSpread Awareness: Use social media\, community events\, or workplace initiatives to share information about hepatitis\, the importance of testing\, and where to get tested. Educate others on the risk factors and the benefits of early detection.\nSupport Testing Initiatives: Volunteer with or donate to organizations that provide free or low-cost hepatitis testing\, particularly in underserved communities. These efforts can make a significant impact in reducing the spread of hepatitis.\nHost or Attend an Event: Participate in health fairs\, seminars\, or workshops that focus on hepatitis awareness and testing. These events often offer free testing and educational materials.\nAdvocate for Hepatitis Screening: Encourage healthcare providers\, clinics\, and local health departments to offer routine hepatitis testing\, especially for populations at higher risk.\n\nHistory of the Event\nHepatitis Testing Day was first observed in 2011 as part of an effort to increase public awareness of viral hepatitis and to promote the importance of testing and early diagnosis. The initiative is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health organizations. The observance is part of a broader campaign to reduce the prevalence of hepatitis and to improve health outcomes for those living with the disease through early detection and treatment. \nRelevant Hashtags\n\n#HepatitisTestingDay\n#KnowHepatitis\n#GetTested\n#HepatitisAwareness\n#EndHepatitis\n\nWhen is Hepatitis Testing Day in the USA 2026?\n\n\n\nYear\nDate\n\n\n\n\n2026\n19 May\n\n\n2027\nTBC\n\n\n2028\nTBC

SUMMARY:Resilience Week
DESCRIPTION:Every year in the first week of June\, organisations around the world pause to recognise Resilience Week\, a time to spotlight the everyday behaviours\, tools\, and values that help people adapt\, stay safe\, and thrive in the face of change and uncertainty. At its heart\, Resilience Week is about strengthening our capacity to recover from challenges and prepare for what lies ahead. It is a week to reflect\, to support one another\, and to celebrate the resilience that connects our workplaces\, communities\, and daily lives. \nWhat is Resilience Week?\nResilience Week is a global annual campaign that champions the actions and attitudes that build resilience at both individual and organisational levels. Rooted in the idea that resilience goes beyond simply bouncing back\, it emphasises looking forward with purpose and confidence. Originating as a cultural initiative within the facilities management company OCS\, the campaign invites people to think broadly about resilience – from everyday safety habits to long-term environmental and digital choices. \nWhen is Resilience Week?\nResilience Week takes place in the first week of June each year. The timing encourages organisations and individuals to pause and focus on resilience as a proactive practice\, rather than a reactive one. Over the course of this week\, colleagues\, teams\, and communities engage in conversations\, training sessions\, and awareness activities designed to embed resilience into daily routines and long-term planning. \nWhy Resilience Week Matters\nResilience Week matters because resilience is a foundation for wellbeing\, safety\, and sustainable performance. In a world where change is constant – whether due to economic uncertainty\, technological shifts\, or environmental challenges – cultivating resilience equips people to adapt with confidence. True resilience supports safer workplaces\, healthier communities\, and stronger organisations. It encourages reflection on how our choices affect not only ourselves\, but also those around us. \nHow to Get Involved in Resilience Week\nGetting involved in Resilience Week can be both meaningful and practical. Individuals can start by reflecting on their own resilience habits\, sharing stories with colleagues\, and taking time to think about how they respond to challenges. Organisations can create activities that support resilience through wellbeing check-ins\, risk-awareness sessions\, cyber safety training\, and discussions that underscore transparency and support. By weaving resilience into everyday conversations and actions\, everyone can contribute to a culture that is stronger and more future-ready. \nHistory of Resilience Week\nResilience Week was first conceived within the global facilities management organisation OCS as a campaign to move resilience beyond risk and compliance into a culture that every colleague could relate to and live out. Originally focused on risk management\, the thinking quickly expanded to include multiple dimensions of resilience\, including safety\, wellbeing\, cyber awareness\, and environmental and social governance. From its inaugural week in early June\, the initiative has grown into an annual opportunity to nurture a shared responsibility for resilience that touches every part of the organisation. \nNoteworthy Facts About Resilience Week\n\nResilience Week is held annually in the first week of June and highlights actions that help people and organisations adapt and thrive.\nThe campaign grew from an internal organisational initiative into a broader cultural movement within OCS.\nResilience Week explores multiple pillars of resilience\, including health and safety\, wellbeing\, risk awareness\, cyber\, and sustainability.\nAt its core\, resilience is defined not just as recovery but as the capacity to look forward with purpose and confidence.\nResilience Week encourages everyday actions that protect and strengthen both people and communities.\n\nHashtags\n#ResilienceWeek\, #ResilienceWeek2026\, #ResilienceInAction \nLinks\n\n\n\nVisit the official Resilience Week page
