What do engineers, lawyers and accountants have in common? For many professionals in these roles, it’s Chartered status! In fact there are Chartered professionals working in every sector in the UK, raising standards of practice and underpinning society’s trust in our direction of growth.
What is Chartered Week?
Chartered Week is a national awareness week dedicated to celebrating and promoting the role of professional registration and its impact in society today. It offers a unique opportunity for the Chartered community — that’s Chartered professionals, employers, awarding bodies and people aspiring to be Chartered — to collaborate across sectors, to share experiences and best practices, and explore common challenges and goals.
In particular, Chartered Week aims to:
• celebrate the enduring role of Chartered registration in setting and maintaining standards of competence and professionalism
• educate about the ethical conduct, leadership and accountability that Chartered and other equivalent public registrations represent
• advocate for the enduring value of Chartered status, encouraging next-gen professionals to follow registration pathways in their career
When is Chartered Week?
Chartered Week takes place at the end of February. The 2026 celebration will run from 23rd to the 27th of February, and the theme for this year is Celebrating Trusted Professionals. It’s a chance to call out the Chartered heroes whose expertise and integrity directly help to strengthen public confidence in their profession.
