The Great Big Hearing Test, observed this January, has been created by Boots Hearingcare to help the nation hear better in 2026 and beyond. Sadly, it takes an average of a little over four years from people first noticing hearing loss to eventually getting tested. It’s time to stop suffering in silence and instead, experience the benefits a hearing test can bring…
When is The Great Big Hearing Test?
The Great Big Hearing Test takes place throughout the month of January, following research that family gatherings, especially at Christmas, is a key driver for those living with hearing loss to get checked.
How to get involved
As a starting point, it’s important to know what to look out for. It’s really easy to educate yourself and your loved ones on the symptoms of hearing loss.
For any adults that think they might be experiencing issues related to their ear health they can book a free hearing test in January at a time that best suits them.
All you need to do is:

- Select and time and date that best suits your availability in January
- Educate others on the symptoms and side effects of hearing loss
- Talk about the benefits of getting tested to help break the stigma.
