Our editorial purpose
Awareness Days is an independent calendar and campaign-planning publisher. Our guides bring together awareness dates, background, organiser resources and practical participation ideas for workplaces, educators, charities and communities.
Sources and date checks
Our editorial reviews prioritise the responsible organiser, public body, charity or campaign website. A calendar listing is not evidence of official recognition, endorsement or a partnership. Where a date, campaign theme or statistic is checked, the relevant source should appear beside the claim or in the event guide.
- Confirmed dates are supported by a source for the relevant edition or year.
- Calculated dates follow a checked recurring pattern, such as a fixed annual calendar date. This does not confirm that the next campaign theme or programme has been announced.
- Provisional dates are planning entries that our review has not source-confirmed for that edition. They need further verification. A verification-pending label does not mean that the organiser has made no announcement. The limitation should be identified clearly.
- Variable dates and annual themes need a new source check. We do not treat a previous year’s announcement as confirmation of the next edition.
A page’s last-updated date records an editorial change. It does not mean every statement has been newly verified or that the page has received clinical review. A date-check credit applies to the source and date being checked. We review errors and priorities as they are identified; we do not claim that every historic listing has been completely reverified each year.
Health and wellbeing coverage
Our health coverage supports awareness and campaign planning. It is not a clinical service and does not provide personal diagnosis, screening, treatment or medication advice. Organiser resources explain the campaign; appropriate health services and qualified professionals provide clinical guidance.
During review, unsupported clinical directions are removed or replaced with an appropriate primary resource. Health statistics need an identifiable source, population and time period. Consequential medical claims that must remain require suitable qualified review. We do not describe an article as medically reviewed unless the reviewer, relevant credentials and scope of that review can be identified.
Writing and corrections
We aim to explain what an event is, when and where it applies, who is responsible for it, and how readers can take part. We use British English and distinguish current campaign information from historical material. Useful past-year answers may remain, clearly labelled.
If you find an incorrect date, obsolete campaign, broken source or unsupported claim, please contact us with the page URL, the issue and any primary source. Corrections are recorded through the revised page and its modification history. Source gaps are not filled with invented organisers, endorsements or reviewer credentials.
Editorial responsibility and commercial content
The Awareness Days editorial team is responsible for our calendar guides and corrections process. About Awareness Days explains the publisher and its work.
Subscriptions, advertising and commercial partnerships support the site. Sponsored content, paid listings and promotional placements should be identified clearly. Payment for coverage or placement does not establish official status, medical authority or organiser endorsement. Editorial corrections apply to commercial and non-commercial content alike.
For commercial enquiries, see event listings and partnerships. For factual corrections or editorial questions, use our contact page.
