This March Cancer Research UK are inviting people to sign up to take 10,000 steps a day to raise money to help fund Cancer Research UK’s life-saving research.
As well as the obvious health benefits of increasing your daily exercise, (which if you’re anything like me and you tend to spend the winter hibernating in front of Netflix is a massive plus in itself), you can also give yourself a huge pat on the back that you’ve contributed to the amazing work that Cancer Research do to try put an end to “The Big C” once and for all.
For more information on this event, which runs from March 1st through to the 31st and for details on how you can get involved, follow this link which will take you straight through to The Cancer Research website.
If you’re interested but don’t have the time to take part in a sponsored walk throughout March, the Walk All Over Cancer page also has some handy tips to put into perspective the small changes that can help you to hit the daily target of 10,000 steps. From swapping the lift for the stairs, or getting up that bit earlier and ditching the bus or car for the work/school run in favour of walking instead.
You can also get involved in the chatter on twitter around Walk All Over Cancer by using the hashtag
Right then, i’d better get dusting off those walking boots. Good luck everyone!
