Your planning toolShare a local community story

Add a brief, an owner and a publication date in your own app.

Invented example, not a real awareness event.

Use the tools you are already building.

Start with dates and context. Make the planning experience your own.

Content calendars

Find dates by period, topic and region. Add the relevant ones to your editorial calendar and keep the guide link for your team.

AI planning assistants

Give a compatible assistant read-only tools to search events, check coverage and retrieve a specific occurrence.

Campaign workflows

Use JSON, CSV or ICS to connect recorded dates with your own briefs, reminders and planning tasks.

A small API.
Useful building blocks.

Dates, categories, region, recorded context and guide links, with source metadata where available. The public contract explains the fields before you subscribe.

Building with an AI coding assistant?

Give it the working starter and the API contract. The starter includes a filtered event list, space for content ideas, labelled demo mode and server-side key handling.

AI build brief
Build a content planning tool using Awareness Days Data.

Read the public API guide:
https://www.awarenessdays.com/data/api/
OpenAPI contract:
https://www.awarenessdays.com/wp-json/ad-data/v1/openapi
MCP setup:
https://www.awarenessdays.com/data/mcp/
Download the working Node.js starter:

Use its illustrative demo first, then connect with AD_API_KEY kept only in the server environment. Use GET /events with documented filters. Obtain exact category and region labels from /facets. Preserve occurrence keys, all-day date ranges, pagination, guide links and unknown values. Cache identical server-side reads within the account allowance. Never put a key in public JavaScript, a URL or this chat. Label demo data clearly. The API is read-only; store content ideas and publishing tasks in my app. Run the starter's tests after changes.

One Data subscription.

Explore the records yourself and connect your own planning tools.

  • Data Explorer with search, filters and saved views
  • REST API, hosted MCP and local client access
  • Filtered CSV and ICS file exports
  • 1,000 requests per UTC day, up to 60 per minute
  • Up to three active API keys sharing your allowance

Already a Toolkit member? Keep using your included data access. Open the Data Explorer or Data Tools.

What is the difference between Data and calendar templates?

The marketing calendar templates are a named-year purchase in Google Sheets, Excel and printable PDFs. Data is a monthly service for searching records, exporting filtered results and connecting your own tools.

Where do the dates come from?

Data uses published Awareness Days event records, existing date rules and saved source snapshots. Coverage varies by topic, region and year. A snapshot update is not a new organiser-by-organiser verification; check the linked event guide before publishing.

Can I connect ChatGPT, Claude or my own chatbot?

Use the REST API from your own server, or MCP in a compatible client. Hosted MCP requires explicit API-key headers and does not offer OAuth. Clients with local stdio support can use the downloadable MCP package. Read the connection requirements.

Can I keep browsing the public awareness days?

Yes. The public calendar and event guides remain available. Data adds the Explorer and machine access for your own workflow.
