About World Quality Day

World Quality Day falls on Thursday 12 November 2026. It gives organisations and quality professionals an opportunity to examine how well their work meets the needs of customers, service users and colleagues.

The date is confirmed in the Saudi Quality Council’s 2026 announcement. Individual organisations run their own events and related weeks, so check the programme you intend to follow rather than assuming one timetable applies everywhere.

How does it relate to World Quality Week?

The Chartered Quality Institute’s World Quality Week 2026 participation page gives 9–13 November as its week and Quality: powering performance as its theme. World Quality Day falls within that Monday-to-Friday period.

The day and week are related occasions, not interchangeable dates. When using a logo, theme or resource, identify the organising body and the correct year. A slogan or hashtag from the 2025 edition should not be relabelled as a new 2026 campaign.

What could your team improve?

Start with a task people actually need to complete: making a booking, placing an order, requesting support or passing work between teams. Ask where the process creates confusion, repeat work or an avoidable delay.

Choose something small enough to understand and review. A focused change to an unclear form or handover can produce a more useful learning exercise than a broad promise to transform quality across an organisation in one day.

A practical improvement session

  • Describe the current task: write down its steps and involve the people who carry them out.
  • Choose a problem: use actual examples or feedback rather than assuming where the difficulty lies.
  • Decide what to measure: for example, how often a request is returned for missing information.
  • Try one change: make instructions clearer or remove a duplicated step, with appropriate agreement.
  • Review the result: compare what happened, note limitations and decide whether to keep or adjust the change.

Give the change an owner and a review date. If the work involves safety, regulated activity or formal controls, use the organisation’s normal approval process rather than treating the awareness day as permission to bypass it.

Share a useful example

A short presentation can explain the original problem, the change and what the team observed. Include what did not improve or what needs more evidence. Avoid presenting a small trial as proof of a result across the whole organisation.

Ask permission before publishing customer stories or internal information. If reporting a saving or improvement, explain what was measured and the period covered so readers can understand the claim.

Finding current resources

Use the CQI’s 2026 campaign page for its materials and participation information. For an event run by another professional body or local organiser, follow that body’s own arrangements and distinguish its programme from the CQI week.
