What is Early Years SENCO Day?
Early Years SENCO Day takes place on Friday 9 October 2026. The day is hosted by Best Practice Network to celebrate Early Years Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) and their invaluable impact in shaping inclusive education and giving children the best start in life.
Early Years SENCOs play a vital role in ensuring children with special educational needs receive the support they need to thrive. They work closely with families, professionals, and colleagues to identify needs early, implement tailored strategies, and create inclusive learning environments. SENCOs signpost resources and services, ensuring families are well-informed and supported in their child’s development.
