Yes. Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday, officially named Washington’s Birthday in federal law, so federal offices, post offices and most banks are closed and there is no regular mail delivery. The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq do not trade. Most retailers stay open, and Presidents’ Day weekend is one of the biggest sales periods of the year for cars, furniture and appliances.
Presidents’ Day is observed on the third Monday of February in the United States.
